These terms are the agreement between you and [to be added] ("we", "us") for using the Heet app and website (the "App"). Please read them with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By ticking the box and continuing, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Who can use the App
You must be 18 years or older and living in India. You must give us correct information about yourself.
3. Your account
You sign in with your mobile number and an OTP. Keep your phone and the OTP to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at once if someone else may be using it. One person should use one account.
4. What the App does, and what it does not
The App gives information to help you farm better: crop-problem diagnosis from photos, plant identification, weather and spray timing, sensor readings, alerts and answers to questions. It is guidance, not a guarantee.
- AI results can be wrong. Photos, lighting and look-alike problems all affect them.
- Weather forecasts and sensor readings can be inaccurate.
- Before spraying any pesticide or applying any fertiliser, confirm with your local agriculture extension officer or Krishi Vigyan Kendra, and always follow the product label and the law.
- The decisions you make on your farm are yours.
5. Ask AI
Answers in Ask AI come either from our approved library of agricultural guidance or, where marked "General guidance (not from our approved library)", from a general AI model. General guidance has not been reviewed by our agronomists. Never treat any AI answer as a replacement for an expert, especially for chemicals and doses.
6. Your content
Photos, questions, readings and other content you give us remain yours. You give us permission to store, process and show them as needed to run the App for you, including letting our agronomists review them. You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload. Please do not upload photos of people, or anything unlawful or unrelated to farming.
7. Using the App properly
Please do not: misuse or overload the App; try to break into it or other people's accounts; copy its data in bulk; give false information; or tamper with sensor devices or their data.
8. Sensors and devices
A sensor device is registered to one farmer. Do not move or share it with other people's accounts without telling us. Readings are only as good as the device and its placement.
9. Sponsored content and programmes
Some information in the App may be sponsored by companies. It is labelled "Sponsored" and is not independent agricultural advice. If a sponsor enrols you in a programme, what that sponsor can see about you is described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Data from other sources
The App uses weather forecasts from MET Norway (licence CC BY 4.0), rainfall history from NASA POWER, and market prices from Agmarknet, Government of India (Government Open Data Licence – India). They belong to their owners and are shown with attribution.
11. The App may change
We may add, change or remove features, and the App may sometimes be unavailable, for example for maintenance or because a service we rely on is down. We do not promise it will always be available or error-free.
12. Suspending or ending your use
You may stop using the App at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or puts the App or other people at risk.
13. Our responsibility
We provide the App "as it is". Farming results depend on many things we cannot control. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for crop loss, lost income or other indirect loss that results from using the App or its advice. Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under law that cannot be taken away, including consumer protection law.
14. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a material way, we will show you the new version and ask you to agree again before you continue. The version date is at the top of this page.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at [to be added] will have jurisdiction, without taking away any right you have to go to another court or forum under law.
